Is NINFix affiliated with NIMC?
No. NINFix is an independent guidance and tracking service. We are not affiliated with NIMC or any government agency, and we never change your NIMC data. We guide you through the official NIMC steps to fix things yourself.
Can NINFix change my NIN details for me?
No app can edit NIMC data directly. NINFix shows you your record (with your consent) and gives you the exact, official steps, documents and fees to make the correction through NIMC.
How much does it cost?
The enrolment readiness checker and centre finder are free. NINFix Plus — the fix concierge, status monitoring and reminders — is ₦1,000 per week, billed via Paystack. NIMC's own fees (for example ₦500 per field, or ₦15,000 for a date-of-birth change) are paid separately to NIMC through Remita.
What NIN problems can you help with?
Name errors and changes, date of birth, address, phone number, place of birth, place of origin, parents' details, NIN–BVN mismatches, duplicate NIN, and lost or damaged slips. We also explain which fields (like gender and your NIN) can't be changed.
Is my data safe?
Yes. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and store only the minimum we need. We never ask for or store your full BVN or biometrics. If you view your official record, we keep only a masked NIN (last 3 digits) and the issues you flag — never the full record or photo.
How long does a correction take?
Most corrections take about 2–6 weeks end to end. After you submit at a centre, a new NIN slip is often ready in 2–5 working days, depending on the network. We give a realistic timeline for your specific case.
Can I use it for a family member?
Yes. You can save multiple cases — for example your own NIN and a family member's — and track each one separately.
